Can a side-lofted barn or shed be converted into a small living space?

Definitely! While they are often used for storage, the generous vertical space and built-in lofts of these structures make them an excellent choice for conversion. They provide a sturdy, cost-effective shell that’s wonderful for a weekend retreat or long-term dwelling.

What is the primary difference between a standard lofted barn and a side-lofted barn?

Our side-lofted barns feature the main access door(s) and windows positioned on the long side of the structure. Such a layout provides easier access to your items and better interior light. As with all our structures, you can fully customize your portable building with loft to meet your needs.
